Graphic Measures International (GMI) certification is a process that holds packaging suppliers accountable to established brand owner standards. Companies like Home Depot, Target, CVS, and Walgreens only work with GMI-certified printers to ensure that their packaging looks consistent all over the world. The GMI process was developed from the standards included in ISO 12647, which dictates the best standards for optimizing efficiency and other processes in printing businesses. As a derivative of the ISO standards, the GMI certification comes with respect and authority as ISO’s industry-accepted standards.
